My Heart.

Had my 2D echo and stress test over the weekend. It's kind of strange, to actually see your heart on a monitor and hear your own heart beating. Dub dub, dub dud, dub dub. Metaphorically, I always listen to the beating of my heart. But to actually hear the real thing is a different story. I immediately felt a bit scared upon hearing the first beat from the machine speakers.
But I realized as quickly what a miracle it was to hear it. I imagined my heart pumping blood to my brain and to the rest of my body. How hardworking my heart is, never stopping for a moment to do its job, even when I take it for granted.
My heart, it has been the most faithful.
An afterthought (edit: 1:20am) --
Was supposed to have my tests interpreted by a Cardio tonight, but the traffic was so bad. Must wait for Saturday.
So yes, I do not know yet if the heart is well.
. . . . .
If only I could be half as faithful in keeping my heart healthy.
I am going to run, because I can't give up ice cream and chocolate and humba. LOL. I'm going to run three times a week. And dance, three times a week. I hope that six out of seven days would be enough to make it healthy.
Officially in the bucket list -- run a marathon.
When people tell me I can't do it, the more I am challenged to do it. Watch me.

Transferring my Postcards to a new site to keep this blog mush-free. *grin*
